Ability to have multiple local congregation languages

The application handles multiple local languages. For example: if your congregation cares Mandarin and Cantonese; or it cares for Hindi, Urdu, Punjadi and Gujurati. The house-to-house record will indicate the language, but more importantly, transfers from other congregations for any of the local languages will be automatically transferred to one database.

  Automatic exchange between congregations

Between Multi-Terr 5 users, the exchange of addresses is done automatically, without the need to supply an email address or account code to the other congregations. When the application detects that a congregation changed the language for that of your congregation and that it is within your congregation boundaries, it is automatically added to the correct territory and a window is displayed listing the addresses that were automatically added.

Note: For security reasons and to respect international privacy laws, none of the congregations have access to your data. When a language is modified, only that address is copied to an encrypted database on a secured server, that can only be accessed by the application

Other versions or applications: We strive to ease the process to exchange addresses between congregations regardless of the method used to manage their territories. The application sends Excel files and PDF files containing the addresses of their language (since the last time the email was sent) and all that is required is an email address

  Multiple house-to-house records format

When printing the house-to-house records, you may choose from multiple formats and templates

  • 8 templates in S-8 format, prints 4 sheets per page. Each format containing slightly different information, each of them have options that be customised to your needs. For example: One of the templates contains a QR code to allow the publishers to also work on line (Excel is required, any versions from 2007 to 2019)
  • 6 templates in Letter/A4 format. Each format containing slightly different information, each of them have options that be customised to your needs (Excel is required, any versions from 2007 to 2019)
  • 5 templates in Letter/A4 format. Each format containing slightly different information. These formats cannot be customized but they do not require Excel to be installed
  • Full page html format where you can include a QR code, define the size of the map and on your own columns and messages. It is called an html format because it is first displayed in a browser and allows you to adjust the zoom of the map for each territory before printing
  • No printing: you may also choose to work only online. When a territory is assigned, an email is sent to the publishers containing a link that gives them access to the house-to-house information. There is no login/password required.

No login/password required for online access

Publishers do not need to enter a login or password. They can access the information either by scanning the QR code on the house-to-house records or by clicking the link in the email that was automatically sent to them when the territory was assigned. Once the territory is returned, the QR code and email link can be disabled.

In large metropolitan cities or language groups, the number of addresses in a territory may fluctuate. There are tools to divide (or split) a territory map in two and reassign the addresses to the correct territories. Or to merge two territories that may have become too small

  Multiple methods to distribute territories

Distribution of territories (assigning and returning) can be done from the desktop application or from the web application. From the web application, you can assign a territory by selecting the territory number, by selecting from a list of all territories or from a list displaying the oldest territories first. An email is sent to the publisher (optional) to whom the territory is assigned.

When migrating or entering a large amount of information, the ability to import can tremendously ease the process. The following information can be imported:

The application contains an import assistant that allows to match columns from the other application with those of Multi-terr
  • Telephone: Telephone territories are usually handled differently as certain information may not be readily available, such as apartment number. Our import tool manages these exceptions
  • Maps: The Excel template contains the territory, latitude and longitude information for each maps. Most KMZ or KML file can easily be converted into this format

The SQL function assists you in reading or writing directly to the database. Allowing to retreive infromation for which a report may not exist, or to update information in a batch quickly. Advanced users will find this function extremely useful, and the support team can provide scripts that can be saved and reused anytime you need them.

  Backup with Multi-Terr team

Backups of your Windows applications database are backed up locally using a timestamp to identify when they were done. But in addition, you may choose to send a copy of your database to the multi-terr team automatically each time you make a back. This function provides additional security in case of a computer crash or any other unforeseen events.

  Encryption

Privacy laws differ from one country to the next, even within the same country, certain areas may have different rules regarding data protection. We have implemented different levels of security.

Some of these include having a separate database for each congregtation, your information cannot be very accessed by another congregation. These databases are on encrypted servers hosted by very large and reputable IT companies. Hashed login and password are hosted on a different server than the actual database, with no links between those servers, hosted by different companies.

Even the local databases on your computer can be encrypted and password protected which means the information can only accessed with the application, even if your information is shared on a public domain like dropbox, the information will not be accessible.

  Emailing tools to other congregations

To facilitate communication with other congregtions, especially those using a different method to manage their territories, with one button you can send a customized message to congregations that have not tranfered addresses for a specific amount of time.
