Microsoft has made some changes in the way they manage distributable files, which causes certain users with full version of Access 2013 or Access 2016 to get an error message when launching Multi-Terr.

How to fix:

  • Right Click on the Multi-Terr shortcut and select Properties
  • Change the target from C:\multi-terr\multiterr.accdr to
    • (if you have Access 2013 and Windows 32-bit) "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office15\MSACCESS.EXE" "C:\multi-terr\multiterr.accdr" /runtime
    • (if you have Access 2013 and Windows 64-bit) "C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Office\Office15\MSACCESS.EXE" "C:\multi-terr\multiterr.accdr" /runtime
    • (if you have Access 2016 and Windows 32-bit) "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office16\MSACCESS.EXE" "C:\multi-terr\multiterr.accdr" /runtime
    • (if you have Access 2016 and Windows 64-bit) "C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Office\Office16\MSACCESS.EXE" "C:\multi-terr\multiterr.accdr" /runtime
    • Note: if your version of Access is installed in a different folder, simply change the path before MSACCESS.EXE
